Laptop Liquid Cooling Pad
Laptops , tightly packed with power consuming chips , can really produce significant amount of heat. Not a pleasant feeling to have it on your lap unless your office is situated in the freezer. Normally used when( I would say most of the time) the laptop’s fan device is unable to sufficiently cool the laptop, cooling pads come in variety of different types.
Most of them house its own fans to help in cooling process. Issue I have with this concept is the amount of noise coming from extra fans and need for external power source usually through USB port. Nexus with its latest cooling pad, TDD-9000, promises great gadget which will address both issues. TDD-9000 will keep your laptop cool without using any fans or external power source.
“The patented gel liquid is provides very efficient cooling and this is immediately noticeable when you put the TDD-9000 on your lap. You lap will feel comfortably cool and you will not feel the warm laptop. And the cooler stays efficient all the time! Independent test show that a temperature improvement of 17°C is achieved. We advise to shake the pad every 20 minutes when you are working to re-boost the cooling power.”
Well, cooling stats are rather impressive but what is the deal with statement “shake the pad every 20 minutes”. The pad is made of soft, velvety cloth filled with a patented, gel-like substance. The gel, in order to keep cooling your laptop, can be “re-energized” by … shaking. Some could see this as annoyance but , on the other hand, it could be good reason to take short break, strech your muscles, shake the pad and then back to work.
Price for this cool and shaky laptop pad is $36.

I bought this netbook for a month-long trip to Argentina in March. There were several reasons I went with this netbook however I have to admit that I wanted the brand name I was familiar with. This netbook has yet to disappoint me.
I use it daily even though I have two Dell desktops and an HP 17″ laptop. I use this on the deck (where I am now), in bed, at the coffee shop and on trips. I don’t do more than Skype, surf the web, and check mail. However I do have Word, Excel, and Powerpoint loaded and I still have 75% disk space free.
If I’m going to Skype I cannot have the browser open because it seems to freeze the camera up. But that’s not too much of an issue for me because I’m either just doing one or the other.
This was great for the two big trips I took this year. I was able to Skype back home and talk with family and friends for free. I was able to call the house / dog sitter and get updates on things going on back here at the ranch and see my Airedale.
It was definitely worth the money.
