World Tour with 3G BlackBerry
Fight in 3G mobile phones market continues and BlackBerry is ready to grab its share of sweet pie with the latest 3G BlackBerry Tour. With Apple’s iPhone and numerous other Windows Mobile handsets already out there, new phone from RIM has tough road in front of it. Then again, considering fame of previous BlackBerry models and what this newest gadget has to offer, it will be interesting to see if BlackBerry Tour can hold its ground or even win some more market share for RIM? At the end, consumers will have their say( with their wallets) once this model arrive in Verizon wireless Communications stores( big day is this July 12th), with the price tag of $199.99 after a $70 mail-in rebate as well as a new 2-year contract. In meantime, let’s find out more about the BlackBerry Tour before you make a purchase decision.
The BlackBerry Tour joins already big family including a the BlackBerry(R) Storm(TM), BlackBerry(R) Curve(TM) 8330 (available in either silver or pink), BlackBerry(R) Pearl(TM) Flip 8230 and BlackBerry(R) 8830 World Edition smartphones in the Verizon Wireless portfolio. Being a 3G world phone, the BlackBerry Tour is giving customers the option to make phone calls in 220 countries. What about data service? You will get E-mail and Internet access in any of the 175 countries where Verizon Wireless provides data roaming services. Customers, of course, expect phone coming from industry leaders to be packed with features and that is what they will get. RIM’s popular push-based mobile solution for e-mail; messaging (IM, SMS, MMS) and social networking; a 3.2 megapixel camera with geo-tagging and video recording; advanced multimedia capabilities; built-in GPS; full HTML Web browsing; and support for Verizon Wireless’ Mobile Broadband Connect tethering service. A model of the BlackBerry Tour without a camera will also be available although I can’t find reason to opt-out on this feature.
For sure, many people will get excited( for a good reason) about this latest addition to RIM’s successful line of BlackBerry phones and to 3G mobile phones market.

I bought the LG Dare about a year and a half ago and it’s basically a cheap wannabe iPhone. You just can’t compare the touchscreen with that of the iPhone, though I will say it’s camera and video recorder are very good. I’m just waiting for the iphone to be sold through Verizon, and I hope it’s soon because my Dare is falling apart.. Hurry up Apple, stop being so “exclusive”!

Im a huge blackberry advocate! Im always out on the web looking for all things blackberry. I just love all the accesories available for Blackberries. Im happy to have found your article and read all the informative information you have to offer on blackberries. They say that Android is going to knock off the Blackberry but I DONT believe them. We all need to keep confident and believe that the Blackberry platform will eventually rule the world. I dont think that anyone that doesnt have a blackberry knows what its like to be a blackberry owner. Phones like iPhones are toys and not real communication devices. I keep a collection of web sites specific to blackberries and you have made my list. Let me offer another good website to you and your viewers specific to Blackberries that I think you will find informative. Blackberry Software
