D-Day for Windows 7 is October 22nd

windows-7Considering the fact that Microsoft itself admits Vista failure , I can not help it but to think about Windows 7 as new disappointment. I hope it does not turn that way and we all get pleasantly surprised by this new OS on October 22nd. For those of you thinking of buying new computer soon there is good news coming from Microsoft. Company announced it will offer an optional upgrade program which will allow consumers to buy a qualifying computer in coming months and upgrade to Windows 7 at no extra charge when it becomes available.

“We’re confident of where we are in the development cycle and that it is ready to be shared with customers and partners,” Microsoft Corporate Vice President Steve Guggenheimer said during a keynote address at Computex 2009 in Tapei. “We’ve received great feedback from our partners who are looking forward to offering Windows 7 to their customers in time for the holidays.”

Hope you are right this time Mr. Guggenheimer.
What are your thoughts about new OS? Ready to move away from Vista or maybe, you currently use WinXp and will stick with it!
