Cool Gadgets Report

Considering the fact that Microsoft itself admits Vista failure , I can not help it but to think about Windows 7 as new disappointment. I hope it does not turn that way and we all get pleasantly surprised by this new OS on October 22nd. For those of you thinking of buying new computer soon there is good news coming from Microsoft. Company announced it will offer an optional upgrade program which will allow consumers to buy a qualifying computer in coming months and upgrade to Windows 7 at no extra charge when it becomes available.

“We’re confident of where we are in the development cycle and that it is ready to be shared with customers and partners,” Microsoft Corporate Vice President Steve Guggenheimer said during a keynote address at Computex 2009 in Tapei. “We’ve received great feedback from our partners who are looking forward to offering Windows 7 to their customers in time for the holidays.”

Hope you are right this time Mr. Guggenheimer.
What are your thoughts about new OS? Ready to move away from Vista or maybe, you currently use WinXp and will stick with it!

Until we figure out how to transfer our words into computer in some more high tech and efficient way, good old typing keyboard is here to stay. But that does not mean there is no room for its technical improvement, better design and cool look. There are so many new computer keyboards on the market so there is no doubt you will find one just made for you. That perfect match could easily be the latest super-tiny USB keyboard.

Many mobile phones come with the battery charging cradle and I find this concept ideal. At the end of the day all it takes is two seconds to slide the phone into the place and you are ready for lengthy conversations next day without worrying about battery level. With my phone I do it almost religiously , keeping charging cradle in entrance hallway and placing phone into the charger as soon as I enter the house. Unfortunately, not all cell phones are “charging” friendly and that is where trouble begins.

Lazy summer afternoon are upon us and it is time to bring out patio furniture and relax in our backyard or, if you are lucky enough( I mean rich), on your own private beach. As for me, my favorite relaxation place is good old hammock I enjoyed for many years on my back patio. And then, while I was checking the latest outdoor gadgets I came across this “thing”. First time I saw this creation my first thought was:”Is this something you relax on while in the Heaven?”. I have to admit, there is something unearthly about this hammock.

If you are cat owner then you well aware of cat’s  habit to spend long hours outside of home, in “wilderness”, doing ..well, whatever cat does. When cat finally does decide to come back into the safety of the house you better be there to open the door or …you’ll be subjected to that all too familiar meowing. We, humans, are social beings in constant need to communicate and express our thoughts and feelings to others around us. That life “necessity”  is kind of taken from us while we are in a cars driving on busy streets. It would be nice if you could tell the other driver, who just cut you off, how you really feel about his/her move. Of course, you could always use already well known ways to do this, - but there is new gadget which will add some technology to your message.
